Dead Island 2‘s gameplay revolves around taking control of Slayers, playable characters with their own unique abilities and playstyle. Dambuster Studios just revealed the newest Slayer that’s set to join the game’s playable roster—Dani, an Irish rockabilly brawler.

Dani’s abilities have also been revealed, and they seem to revolve around taking down hordes of zombies head-on with hard-hitting attacks. Here are Dani’s two abilities:

Bloodlust – Dani regains HEALTH when slaying multiple zombies in quick succession.

Thunderstruck – Dani’s HEAVY ATTACKS trigger a FORCEFUL explosion on impact.

Dani’s Bloodlust ability is quite similar to Jacob‘s Feral ability, but instead of a stackable damage buff, Dani heals herself instead. While Jacob is more focused on dealing tons of damage, it seems like Dani will prefer to be in the thick of things to really make use of Bloodlust effectively. Thunderstruck also suggests that Dani will want to use heavy weapons, melee or ranged.

Dani is the fourth Slayer currently revealed, which is currently more than needed for the game’s 3-player co-op system. The game is set to have a total of six, so we’ll have to wait for more reveals on the remaining two Slayers in the near future.

Dead Island 2 is set to launch on April 28 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
