It seems Blizzard can’t catch a break! Diablo 4 servers down reports have surfaced once again, and this time, the dreaded invalid license issue seems to have reared its ugly head once more.
Update (June 25 (June 24 in PDT): For those seeing this, there is an outage happening today, which you can monitor here.

For now, Blizzard hasn’t acknowledged the outages just yet, but we’re hoping that changes soon. Once we get wind of any developments, we’ll update the article ASAP.

There is no way to load test for a population this size. This should be obvious.

Update as of 11:30 pm UK time to save you scrolling tothe bottom of these comments. The queue isn’t representative of wait time, still fluctating. I got kicked from queue just now and went from 1200 down to 300 again. The servers are down with no eta. Will reply to this when someone is in.

That’s what you get for forcing people to play forced mmo. MMO aspect of this game should be OPTIONAL like D2 and D3. I personally do not like the forced mmo. And it is disappointing that after spending £100 on a game , we still have to face issues as if this was a free mmo.

The irony is that these issues were not existent during any of the beta testing… They messed something up with the latest “hotfix” and it seems that EVERY hot fix they have pushed while live service is active has people getting disconnected…
I think it would be much better received if they sent out a 15/10/5/3/2/1 minute server warning that the servers would be restarting so you aren’t in the middle of something and surprised by it.

I wonder if it’s a hosting thing: like open beta they expected everyone and their mom to play because it was free so that went all out. But now that it’s paid players and they don’t want to go too crazy they only get a finite amount, then if it’s not enough get more but in that time period we experience these authentication/license/etc issues

The 3 min wait is because every other player that got disconnected is also spamming login attempts. Which Ironically only exacerbates the problem.
That’s what the log in wait time is designed for. I better get in after this 15min timer ffs.

On PS5 queued login starts at 3 minutes, whenever you get to “connecting to” part it boots you with the (300202) error code, working all day thinking about playing but when I get home to play THIS 😭
