DICE Updates Battlefield 3 Servers on PS3 and Xbox 360 and Fixes Punkbuster Issues

Battlefield 3 Updates in Black

As an update to yesterday’s announcement regarding server maintenance on the PS3 and Xbox 360, Battlefield 3 Community Manager, Daniel Matros, reveals the purpose behind the down-time and informs players of the current state of the recent Punkbuster issues.

On the Battlelog, Matros wrote, “In the light of previous events such as the PB issues that flared up yesterday as well as Console players having some connectivity issues and issues with actually joining servers, we decided that we would perform a little bit of maintenance and a restart to solve connectivity and server issues.”

In addition, “for players who were getting kicked yesterday due to corrupt file/memory, this issue was solved yesterday evening and was because of a version mismatch between the updated client and Punkbuster.” To conclude, “thank you for understanding and have a great day/evening!”
Servers should now be back up and running so get on arming those m-coms and capping those flags!
