Dying Light 2 Anniversary Stream to Reveal “Surprises” on Jan. 31

dying light 2 anniversary

As the game nears its first anniversary, Techland will be hosting a Dying Light 2 anniversary stream on its Twitch channel on January 31. The developer and publisher of the survival horror RPG will “share some memories, talk about the future,” and even reveal “a few surprises” during the course of the anniversary stream.

The sequel to the 2015 zombie horror title Dying Light, Dying Light 2 Stay Human was released on February 4, 2022 and sold a staggering five million units within the first month of release. Following the events of the first game, Dying Light 2 follows Aiden Caldwell, a Pilgrim searching for his lost sister in the midst of a devastating pandemic caused by a mutated version of the first game’s Harran Virus.

While the game has already had an expansion in the form of the Bloody Ties DLC released last year, another full-fledged expansion or even a new game may be in the cards owing to Dying Light 2’s success. The Dying Light 2 anniversary stream, set to air on January 31 at 2pm ET/11am PT/8pm CET/3am HKT (February 1), will both discuss “the future” and reveal “a few surprises,” which is good reason to believe something major may be in the works.

Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch release slated for the first half of this year.
