EA Rep Confirms Battlefield 4 Console Rent-a-Server Coming “Soon”

Rentable Battlefield 4 servers are confirmed to be making their way to consoles “soon”, according to an EA representative.

Over on the Battlelog forums, a user inquiring about rentable Battlefield 4 servers on consoles had his question answered by an EA rep who goes by the name “EA_Stiv”.

“Indeed, it is coming,” the rep said. “I’m afraid we don’t have any information on this quite yet, but it is coming soon!”

The ability to rent a server on consoles was a major feature of 2011’s Battlefield 3, though, as is the case with Battlefield 4, they weren’t available at launch, but at a later date. They offer players the ability to tweak game settings and map/mode rotations, offering a more customizable experience.
