Elden Ring Rated 18+ (M) by Korean Gaming Ratings Board

Elden Ring korean ratings

Bandai Namco Entertainment’s upcoming action-RPG Elden Ring has been rated in Korea! The GRAC (Gaming Rating and Adminstration Committee) has rated the game today, and it’s intended for gamers 18 years old and up, which is the equivalent of an M (for Mature) rating in the US by the ESRB!

The website lists the following as the reason for the rating:

expression * excessive violence
– swords, the bright red blood, such as factual as you progress to fight using the expression weapon and accordingly, such as windows frequently expressed

Therefore, in accordance with Article 21 of the Game Industry Promotion Act and Article 7, No. 4 of the Rating Classification Regulations, the rating was decided to be ‘not available for use by youth’.

This is hardly surprising at all, to be honest, given From Software’s past games like Bloodborne have been given the M rating as well.

Elden Ring is set to hit this January 21, 2022 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Thanks, Mordecai!
