Fallout 76 Down on April 21 to Apply an Update
Those having issues logging in to Fallout 76, it’s not just you, as Bethesda has taken the game’s servers down on April 21, and this applies to all platforms.
Expect this server downtime to affect all modes of the game, and the reason for it is to conduct maintenance, as Bethesda is rolling out a game update.
Read on for the schedule and what to expect from today’s FO76 server outage.
Fallout 76 Servers Down on April 21 for a New Game Update
Bethesda has confirmed the downtime starts at 10 am ET/9 am CT/7 am PT. While there’s no mention how long it will take, the standard downtime for the game usually lasts from 2-4 hours and sometimes even more.
While Bethesda is prepping the Infestation major update via the PTS (Private Test Server), today’s patch should include a handful of fixes.
Some of the issues we hope are resolved include:
- Quest progression blockers
- Fallout 1st not working properly
There are a lot more technical fixes, but these are the ones that stood out for us the most. For those looking forward to the game’s “Next-Gen Update,” Bethesda hasn’t said anything, so chances are, it won’t be dropping today.
If there are any changes to the maintenance period or if it gets extended, we’ll be sure to let our readers know. Once the patch notes are available, we’ll provide a link to it within this article.
In other news related to post-apocalyptic games, the latest game in the Metro franchise titled “Metro 2039” has been announced, and it’s due for release later this year.
