Fallout 76 Down on January 20 for a New Update
For those trying to login to Fallout 76 but having issues connecting to the game’s servers, it’s not just you, as Fallout 76 is now down on all platforms for maintenance, and this is also to apply an update.
While this might not be classified as a major content update, today’s patch ushers in a good amount of fixes and improvements for both the technical and gameplay aspects of the game.

Fallout 76 Servers Down on January 20
Update: The complete patch notes are out, and list a slew of gameplay improvements.
While Bethesda has announced the server outage, the studio has not given a timeline on when the servers will go back up. It’s not surprising, given the studio has never really outlined the maintenance schedules.
Based on past server outages fir patches, players can expect Fallout 76 to be down for at least two hours, with the usual downtime lasting around 3-4 hours. There have been instances that the server outage lasted for days, but that’s a rare occurence.
