For those who can’t get into their vault in Fallout 76, don’t fret, you’re not alone. Bethesda has taken the Fallout 76 servers down and offline on March 17, and this is to apply a game update.

Same as with every maintenance period for Fallout 76, expect the game’s servers to be offline for hours before they’re operational again.

For the schedule and a sneak preview of the patch’s fixes, read on.

Update: The complete patch notes for today’s update are live, and they bring a significant amount of bug fixes and adjustments.

Same as before, Bethesda has not given a schedule for the server outage other than it starts at 10 am ET/7 am PT/9 am CT/10 pm HKT. Expect it to last for at least 2-4 hours, with the regular server maintenance periods finally lifting at around 2 pm ET/11 am PT/1 pm CT/2 am HKT.

The lift times are not set in stone, though, and more often than not, it extends throughout the day, so don’t be surprised if it takes way longer than 2-4 hours.

As for the game update set to be rolled out, here are a few fixes confirmed to be part of it:

  • Various improvements to the Pip-Boy (shortcuts for dropping items, closing the Pip-Boy key bind, scrolling, and sorting)
  • Changing the key bind for the Season’s Menu popup from “CTRL” to “Y”.
  • Emotes, Loot Bags, and Survival Tents being reset upon login.
  • Frequent “Waiting for Response from Server” messaging.

Once the patch notes are out, expect it here on MP1st. We’ll provide a link to it in this article once the changelog is available.

In related news, ex-Bethesda devs said they wouldn’t be surprised if Fallout 5 is outsourced, given the studio is busy with The Elder Scrolls 6.
