Fallout 76 Servers Taken Down for Maintenance to Roll Out a New Patch

Bethesda is about to deploy the first patch of Fallout 76 of 2025, but before that, the servers must be taken down first! This maintenance period should last for a few hours, and during this time, players should be able to download a new client patch for the game.
This is not a seasonal update, so don’t expect any major new additions, though we are expecting bug fixes to be part of the download.

The announcement from Bethesda notes the following outage time:
Server downtime starts: 10 am ET/9 am CT/7 am PT/11 pm HKT
While no specific timeframe is given, the game’s maintenance outages usually last 2-4 hours. If there is extended downtime, Bethesda issues an update about it. In terms of the fixes, the issues that surfaced from the massive Gleaming Depths patch released in December should be part of the changelog.
Some of the issues in the game (not confirmed to be fixed in this patch, though):
- Caravans
- Autoaxe Guardian exploit (most likely will be patched out)
- Snake crashing on console versions (Bethesda replied “Team is still digging into this issue. We gathered some info with the help of some Xbox Discord members last week, but I don’t have an update to share on this just yet”) so might not be part of today’s patch.
- If anything changes regarding the scheduled outage, we’ll update the article with the info, so stay tuned!
- Bottle Cap Press should be fixed in this patch since it’s tied to microtransctions
- Drill/Sigma Squad trophy still bugged
- Perk card machine in the Raid before the last boss is still bugged
- Area chat got broken with the December patch
