It seems Fortnite down reports have started surfacing now this July 12, as players are unable to login and connect to the battle royale component (we can’t verify if it’s happening to the Save the World component too, though that’s likely the same situation given the game as a whole.

Fortnite on downdetector has seen a massive spike in reports in the past few minutes since the time of this article going live:

There is a strong possibility that this is a quick downtime, which means players should be able to log back in soon-ish. The official Fortnite Status Twitter account has not acknowledged any server issues, but has announced changes to some items earlier today:

✅Striker Pump Shotgun body damage slightly reduced
✅Striker Burst AR deals less damage at maximum range
✅Port-A-Forts stack size reduced from 5 to 2
