It might already be 2018, but that’s not stopping Epic Games from pumping out game updates to Fortnite. The first Fortnite update is planned to go live on January 2, 2018, at 8 a.m., and will feature the “Sneaky Silencer Limited Time Mode” from January 5 to January 8!

It will feature the Silenced Pistol, and can be found in treasure chests, supply drops or floor loot, and will be in Epic and Legendary rarity variants.

SNEAKY SILENCERS

• Weapons are limited to Suppressed SMG and Suppressed Pistols only.
• Traps are disabled.
• Greatly increased drop rate of the Bush.

According to Epic, there’s no expected downtime or will there be any game update to download for the Sneaky Silencers mode (meaning it’ll be from a server-side update).

In other Fortnite news, Epic acknowledges that there’s an inventory bug in the game right now, and the studio is aiming to fix it. The Boogie Bomb is also being considered for a nerf in an upcoming update.
