Halo 5: Guardians – Watch a Full-Length, Near-Perfect Match of Slayer on a New Beta Map

“Greenskull” from Ready Up Live shows us a full match of Halo 5: Guardians Slayer on the map Empire, both a mode and map that will be available in the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta, from his early hands-on time with the game at HaloFest.

As far as we know, this is the first gameplay we’ve seen that features a full-length match from the perspective of one player, without cuts, which really helps to get a feel for the new gameplay 343 Industries is trying to achieve with Halo 5. You’ll see some of the new Spartan Abilities in practice, some of the new weapon mechanics, and thankfully, a ton of different medals, since “Greenskull” here nearly lands a perfect game.

You can watch the whole thing above.

343 Industries unveiled the first footage Halo 5: Guardians earlier this week in a multiplayer-focused ViDoc along with a full, commentated match of Halo pros going at it on the map Truth, a remake of the Halo 2 map Midship. You’ll also find more footage, along with details on Halo 5’s new Spartan Abilities and control scheme right here.

Access to the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta will be granted to all owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection on December 29 through to January 18 where you’ll get to test out three modes on seven different maps.

What’d you think of the new gameplay? Liking the new direction Halo is headed in?
