How to Find and Download the Battlefield 6 Open Beta for PS5 on PSN
It’s August 4, and that means those with early access for the Battlefield 6 open beta can now preload the client! While publisher Electronic Arts has outlined the method on how to find it and initiate the download, but if you’re on PS5, chances are, it’s not working.
We tried EA’s method for accessing the BF6 open beta client to no avail, but don’t fret – there is a surefire way to initiate the download, provided you’re eligible for early access, of course.
How to Start the Battlefield 6 Open Beta Download on PS5
EA’s method is as follows:
The EA Account associated with the email you’ve used to register for Battlefield Labs should have access, and all you need to do is link it to the EA app, Xbox, PlayStation Store or Steam account linked to corresponding EA account.
To find the beta, EA says:
- Visit your platform’s store on your console or PC (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, or EA App)
- In the search bar, type Battlefield 6 Open Beta
- Once located, download Battlefield 6 Open Beta
Here’s how to link your account:
- Log in here to check or manage: https://myaccount.ea.com/am/
ui/connected-accounts - Make sure the platform you want to use is linked to your EA Account: www.help.ea.com/articles/ea-
account/ea-account-linking - Or watch how to link your accounts to PlayStation® or Xbox:

However, if that doesn’t work, which it hasn’t for us, since we couldn’t find the Battlefield 6 open beta client on the PlayStation Store no matter how many times we tried, there is another way.
- Use a web browser
- Login/signin to your EA Account
- Hit the “Pre-load” blue button which is pictured below:

- Select the platform you want to play the beta on
- Hit “add to library”
- Intiate download to PSN on your PS5 via the browser on PS5 or go to Library section and click download
We tried this method and can guarantee it works! The Battlefield 6 open beta client clocks in at 33.9 GB on PS5, so make sure you have enough disk space before downloading it so it doesn’t error out.

Downloaded it for Xbox on my lunch break. Was able to run it and accept all the notices and adjust the settings. Can’t wait for the 7th!
