Kiryu returns in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name!

This classic high-octane RGG action-adventure sheds light on Kiryu’s perspective following the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life leading up to Like a Dragon 8.

According to the developers, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will focus on bridging the gap between Yakuza 6 and Like a Dragon and will lead up to Yakuza 8 as well. Like a Dragon 8 will feature Kiryu as a protagonist, therefore his perspective in The Man Who Erased His Name is important.

Ryu Ga Gotoku also confirmed that The Man Who Erased His Name will feature a more traditional Yakuza adventure instead of turn-based combat, revealing that Kiryu will have a brand-new fighting style in this title. Other than that, the developers confirmed that the game will be half the size of mainline Yakuza titles, and stated that they will be dropping “Yakuza” from all their upcoming titles.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will launch in the same year as Like a Dragon: Ishin! remake in 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC!
