Stranger Than Heaven Launches January 2027, Adds Tupac Shakur to Its Cast
Summer Game Fest 2026 has officially begun, and the event is already bringing major announcements for players.
One of the biggest reveals came from Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, who confirmed the release date for STRANGER THAN HEAVEN.
Stranger Than Heaven Release Date Revealed
The game will officially launch on January 15, 2027. This now locks in the game’s earlier “Winter 2026” release window. STRANGER THAN HEAVEN is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store.
The game has also been confirmed as a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass. It will support Xbox Play Anywhere as well, meaning one digital purchase will let players play across Xbox consoles and PC.
Alongside the release date announcement, the developers also debuted a new trailer confirming that the late legendary rapper Tupac Shakur will appear as an official character in the game with approval from his estate, joining fellow rapper Snoop Dogg in the cast.
The official description of the game reads, “A fifty-year, action-adventure saga of men with nowhere to go and their desperate struggle to find a home. Use extreme violence to survive, and musical talent to thrive as a showman across five cities and eras of modern Japan.”
