Marvel’s Avengers Game Length to Be 10-12 Hours for Core Story, Devs Says It’s Similar to Tomb Raider

With Marvel’s Avengers seemingly set to become one of 2020’s biggest games, it’s understandable that some people might be wondering just how much time will they pour into the game before it’s finished. Thankfully, Crystal Dynamics has spoken out about the Marvel’s Avengers game length.

In an interview, Crystal Dynamics Senior Brand Director Rich Briggs mentions how the Marve’s Avengers game length will run the gamer about 10-12 hours for the core story.

I think it’ll depend on exactly how deep you want to go into it…So if you think about previous Crystal games, you know that if you want to be playing your way through the core story, it’s going to be in that area, 10 to 12 hours.

Briggs compares it the Tomb Raider games (the most recent ones) when it comes to game length, and how if you want to do all the side missions and whatnot, it will run you about 30 hours. Note that Crystal Dynamics is also the studio behind Tomb Raider, so fans should expect some gameplay/mission structure similarities.

But if you want to see everything there is, and do all the side missions and everything else, you’re generally looking at 30 plus hours in the Tomb Raider games…So we’re not putting exact numbers on it just yet, but you can expect something comparable to what we’ve done in the past with that regard. And then, of course, you have the extended narrative and the extended game plan, more heroes post-launch.

Don’t forget though, Crystal Dynamics seems to be aiming Marvel’s Avengers to be similar to games like Destiny where more post-launch content will be added.

Is this a good enough length for you given that we’ll be spending most of our time in multiplayer anyway?
