Modern Warfare 2 Stuck on Fetching Data From Platform Issue Surfaces After Update – Here’s a Fix
In case you didn’t know, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (and Warzone 2.0) just got a new patch that brings in fixes and improvements to both games. Unfortunately, it seems to be causing issues for some players too, as multiple reports have surfaced on a Modern Warfare 2 “stuck on fetching date” issue on PlayStation platforms (as far as we’re aware other platforms aren’t affected).
If you’re affected by this, we have a simple fix, which you can do right now.
So a new update just dropped on ps5.

If your Modern Warfare 2 game client won’t load properly, here’s what you need to do:
- On PlayStation platforms press circle (or what button you have to “go back”) to go offline.
- Once there, press the touchpad and go online
That should fix the issue ASAP. If not, leave a comment below and let us know if it’s not working.
