Modern Warfare Invisible Players Are a Real Thing, Upcoming Changes to Address Spawns, Footsteps, & More

modern warfare january 11 update

While we just got a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare patch earlier today, Infinity Ward still has quite a few changes they’re looking into. If you’re one of the people annoyed at how the spawns work, rejoice! It’s been confirmed that this is being worked on, among other Modern Warfare upcoming changes.

Over on Twitter, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer Joe Cecot outlined some of the Modern Warfare upcoming changes and they include: spawns, weapon tuning, player call outs, and more.

For those unfamiliar with player call outs, it’s when your player involuntarily shouts “Contact!” or some other word when spotting an enemy, which in turn, gives away your position or the fact that you’re about to flank them.

Hopefully, we’ll also get other updates as well, which we might get sooner or later since a rumor has cropped up stating that a “big overhaul” is incoming.

Also of note that we’re hoping will get fixed are “invisible players.” Confused? Here’s a look at the Modern Warfare invisible players in action.

Saw people complain about invisible enemies. Here’s my best example of it so far. from modernwarfare

I’ve had this happen to me personally as well, and wasn’t sure at the time whether it was my eyesight, connection, or something else that made me not see the enemy. Hopefully, this gets priority as well, since it’s just mind blowing now (and not in a good way).
