Overwatch Free Weekend Has Begun, Go Try out All 26 Heroes

If you’ve somehow managed to avoid the allure of Overwatch, and haven’t yet invested money into the hit Hero shooter, then this weekend is your opportunity to try the game for free.

The Overwatch free weekend is now live across all platforms, allowing unlimited access to the 26 Heroes (including newcomer Moira), Quick Play, Custom Games and Arcade.

Free access will end at 11.59 p.m. PT on November 20. Any progress made during the free weekend will carry over, should you decide to purchase the full game.

Here’s the official details:

For this free weekend, we’re making Overwatch’s full roster of 26 heroes and 16 maps available for play in a variety of modes, including Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. Players will also have the ability to level up, earn Loot Boxes, and unlock a variety of different customization options.

Plus, if you decide to purchase Overwatch after test driving the game, you’ll get to keep any progress that you made during the weekend—just be sure to use the same Blizzard, Sony Entertainment, or Xbox Live account that you played on.

Will you be giving Overwatch a go this weekend? (Either as a free trial, or to prey on noobs!) Let us know.

In other Overwatch news, a new patch has hit the game bringing balance changes and more, Blizzard confirmed that an Xbox One X 4K update is being worked on, and an Overwatch movie is something Activision “would like very much.”
