While it’s no secret by now that Sony has been selling PS5 units faster than they can manufacture the console, it seems it’s already hitting billions when it comes to revenue already, and it’s outselling the Xbox Series X|S by a considerable lot too!

In a press release, sales data by firm Finbold has highlighted some of the achievements the PS5 has gotten so far, and that’s hitting over $3B in sales in just months! What’s more, it even beat out the Xbox Series X|S in units sold by over 3 million units!

• PlayStation sold 3,520,000 PS5 units more than Xbox sold its X/S series consoles;
• PlayStation 5 revenue is 89.42% higher compared to Xbox’s X/S revenue;
• Cumulatively, PS5 and Xbox X/S consoles generated a revenue of $5.92 billion.

The $3.8B number is from an average price of $499.99 per unit, and from the press release, it mentions the Xbox Series X|S revenue stands at an estimated $2.04B globally, selling 5.12 million units (priced at $399.99 per console). Both current-gen consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) have combined for about $5.92B in revenue.
