Report: Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade Gameplay Leaked, Features Cutscenes and Combat

Assassins Creed Codename Jade

Looks like we’re getting some gameplay footage for the next Assassin’s Creed game earlier than expected. After the announcement that Ubisoft was working on an Assassin’s Creed mobile game, a recent leak may have just revealed some never-before-seen Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade gameplay.

The video footage only lasts for a couple of minutes, and you can tell that the game is clearly still in development. Some elements of the game are missing (such as voiceovers in cutscenes) and a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen indicates that what you’re seeing is not the final product.

Here’s the gameplay footage that was posted on Reddit:

The Reddit post links to the original source of the gameplay footage from a Facebook page, but it seems that the video has since been taken down. Though we only have a few minutes of gameplay to work with, we get to see a little bit of everything — movement, combat, and cutscenes. The combat itself looks simple, with a button for dodging and attacking, but this may just be a simplified version of combat that players work with at the start of the game.

Since the reveal trailer for Codename Jade only came out last September, it’s unlikely we’ll hear anything official from Ubisoft in the near future. Still, at least we know that the game’s already developed enough that it has a playable version, if the leak is to be believed.
