Report: Assassin’s Creed Red Release Planned for 2024

Assassins Creed Red release date

Ubisoft is finally answering the call of many Assassin’s Creed fans by taking the series to feudal Japan. With Assassin’s Creed Red (currently a codename and subject to change), the series should see a major jump from the previous games, including 2020’s Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, while shaping up the future of the franchise with the goal of delivering the best open-world RPG games.

While the details are scarce and many players were expecting Assassin’s Creed Red to be very early in development, again by the skilled hands of Ubisoft Quebec, it turns out that the release date could in fact be pinned down for 2024. At least, this is what can be gathered by the words of Arisa Lagunzad, responsible for Business Development & Brand Partnership at Ubisoft. Her statement can be found on a LinkedIn post that you can see below.

Assassin's Creed Red Release Planned for 2024

The post doesn’t directly imply an Assassin’s Creed Codename Red release date for 2024, but it’s easy to assume that much is planned. However, take it with a grain of salt until an official confirmation from Ubisoft arrives in the near future. The other game detailed as part of this new Assassin’s Creed Infinity philosophy for the series is called Assassin’s Creed Hexe and is rumored to unfold in Central Europe during the 16th century.

Before the release of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red we are going to get Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Set in Baghdad and said to be inspired by the direction of the game that kickstarted the franchise, and is out this Oct. 12 on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
