While we usually avoid any “leaked” info from 4chan, the latest development that transpired today made us think this is the real deal. I’m referring to the Tekken 8 roster images leak, which is different from the partial roster that was datamined from the closed beta test.
Over on 4chan, the following image was shared (via ArcWardenScrub):
As you can see, there seems to be two new fighters to the franchise, which we don’t know anything about for now.
Yes, it’s blurry and whatnot, which is the standard for fake screenshots, right? However, Bandai Namco has began taking down (issuing copyright notices) YouTube videos today, which most likely means the image is the real deal!
Bandai Namco copyright striked my channel for making a video about this Tekken 8 roster leak?! https://t.co/SAFhbZ79DI pic.twitter.com/lJK6Ov3dcP

The video talking about the roster image leak has since been taken down. Again, this is not confirmation it is the real deal, but that is as close as we can get. For reference, publishers can do this for their games, which Activision recently did for a Modern Warfare 3 leak. Again, this is not a confirmation that this is legit, so take it with a grain of salt (still). We should hear more about Tekken 8 at this weekend’s EVO fighting game event.
While Tekken 8 has no firm release date yet, we’re expecting it to be released sometime this year given we are already in the closed beta phase. Once we know more about it, we’ll let our readers know.
Always a pleasure reading articles about Tekken, look forward to new post that get submitted about the game.
Thanks! We’ll be covering it a lot 🙂
