Report: The Elder Scrolls 6 to Be Titled “Sentinel” With the Reveal Planned in November
Aside from Grand Theft Auto 6, which is releasing next month, perhaps the most anticipated game by a lot of gamers is Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls VI.
While we know the RPG has been in development for a long while now, info about it has been sparse to say the least.
If this new report is anything to go by, it seems Bethesda is ready to trickle down details about the project soon.
The Elder Scrolls 6 Reveal Is Set Next Month
In a new report by The Verge, sources familiar with Bethesda’s plans have shared that the official title of the action-RPG is “The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.”
The announcement will come soon next month, during a period that will mark 15 years since The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was released. For reference, Skyrim’s exact release date is November 11, so you might want to mark that date down in your calendar.
The report also claims that Bethesda has been showing off Sentinel gameplay in recent months, and Xbox CEO Asha Sharma even got a live playthrough of The Elder Scrolls 6 in August, with the CEO praising the scale of the game, and also added “the story is even greater.”
Before anyone assumes we’ll be seeing actual gameplay, the report adds that they are only expecting a name reveal next month and nothing more.
Added info mentions that Sentinel will be set in Hammerfell, a province in the Elder Scrolls universe that’s appeared in The Elder Scrolls: Adventures: Redguard and The Elder Scrolls Online.
In related news, five months ago it was reported that Xbox CEO Asha Sharma wanted faster development cycles for the Fallout and The Elder Scrolls franchises. Let’s hope that this mandate pushes through.
