Resident Evil Resistance Beta Delayed on PS4 and PC

Resident Evil Resistance Update 1.10 October 7

In case you didn’t know, the upcoming Resident Evil 3 Remake will include a free multiplayer mode called Resident Evil Resistance. It was originally planned that the asymmetrical multiplayer game will have an open beta on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Well, as it turns out, the Resident Evil Resistance beta has been pushed back for at least the PS4 and PC.

UPDATE: There has been a new patched deployed on the PlayStation 4, allowing players to once again gain access to the open beta. PC players can also download the beta again from the Steam Store, or play the current one if they have already.

This was announced today by Capcom citing technical issues.

Due to technical issues, there is a delay for the RE Resistance Open Beta on PS4 and Steam. The XB1 version is unaffected and is available. We’re working to resolve the issue as soon as we can and will keep you updated. Apologies for the inconvenience.

No word yet on what exactly happened or when it’ll become available. As for the Xbox One version, Capcom has already said it’s business as usual, so players can download it for free now and test it out.

Don’t forget, there’s a Resident Evil 3 Remake demo out now on all three platforms, which you might want to try before the game’s out this April 3, 2020.

Are you looking forward to this multiplayer mode? Or do you think it won’t catch on?
