Rumor: Battlefield 6 Release Date Set for October; Editions and Pricing Detailed

With the big reveal for Battlefield 6 happening tomorrow, it seems that fans may be in store for a rather massive surprise, as a new rumor claims that the release date will be revealed alongside the trailer, with pre-orders opening next week.

Details on available editions have also been revealed, as well as pricing, which might spark some heated debate.

Battlefield 6 May Be Coming a Lot Sooner Than Expected

As per Billbil-kun (via Dealabs), who most might know from their monthly PS+ leaks, tomorrow’s Battlefield 6 reveal is set to confirm the game’s release date. According to Billbil-kun’s sources, Battlefield 6 is set to release on October 10, 2025. No, you didn’t misread that. The next iteration of Battlefield is set to arrive this year, at least according to this rumor.

Important to note, the 1BF Telegram leaker group have also unearthed that same date via the Battlefield Labs’ files, though that doesn’t mean the date is official, just that DICE has that date in the testing phase’s files.

That’s undoubtedly a lot sooner than what many expected, though we’re sure that news is going to excite eager Battlefield fans nonetheless.

However, that’s not the only news that Billbil-kun has for us, as they’ve also revealed that the game will be available in at least two editions: the Standard and Phantom edition — info also unearthed by the 1BF group as well.  The Phantom edition is essentially the digital deluxe edition, so for the moment, there is no confirmed/rumored collector’s edition for Battlefield 6. Price points and upgrade paths have also been revealed, although they’re in Euros, which may not translate directly to USD.

Battlefield 6 Contents PC PS5 Xbox Series
Standard Edition €69.99 €79.99 €79.99
Phantom Edition €99.99 €109.99 €109.99
Upgrade to Phantom Edition €29.99 €29.99 €29.99

Again, we want to stress that this does NOT mean Battlefield 6 will cost $80, as EU to US pricing doesn’t translate 1:1. Having said that, if BF6 is indeed priced at $80 by EA, don’t be surprised, as that’s the direction the industry is headed.

Not much else was revealed beyond that, and once again, despite the source being highly credible, it is still important to consider this a rumor. Thankfully, all should be revealed tomorrow, and if it does end up being true, then per the rumor, we can expect pre-orders to kick off on July 31, 2025, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
