Silent Hill: Townfall

Fans of Silent Hill have plenty to look forward to. Just last week, the developers confirmed that players won’t have to wait long between the studio’s big releases and it seems that promise is already taking shape.

A new rumor has now surfaced, suggesting that fans will soon get a major update on what’s next for the Silent Hill franchise.

A Silent Hill Showcase Scheduled for Later This Month

According to the French outlet Biohazard Ultimate, Silent Hill Townfall is set to launch on March 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The leaker noted that this information comes from several internal discussions, which also indicate that Konami is preparing a Silent Hill Showcase later this month to share more details about Townfall. The showcase will also feature the first trailer for the remake of the original Silent Hill, which recently entered full production.

In another post on Facebook, Biohazard Ultimate shared more details about Silent Hill Townfall, describing it as a game made up of several short stories that focus on ghosts from a town’s past, particularly spirits that haunt a small beach near the town where the story takes place.

He also claimed that the gameplay system will be similar to Silent Hill: The Short Message, featuring no weapons or items and relying instead on jumpscares and investigation. Additionally, in terms of gameplay, the game is said to resemble Hideo Kojima’s P.T. demo.

While the information hasn’t been officially confirmed, expectations for Townfall are high. The studio behind it, Screen Burn (formerly known as No Code), is behind titles like Stories Untold and Observation, both known for their unique atmosphere and storytelling style.

It’s also been a great time for horror fans in general. Silent Hill f was just released and earned a 9.5 out of 10 in our review, where we stated that “Silent Hill f isn’t just the best horror game of the year so far, it’s one of the best games released in 2025.”

Alongside it, Cronos: The New Dawn also debuted last month to strong reception, and we gave it a score of 8 out of 10, while the developers of Dying Light: The Beast celebrated the game’s “Very Positive” Steam rating by giving players a free Spectral Bat weapon as a thank-you gift.

If the rumors are true, March 2026 could be another standout month for horror, with Resident Evil Requiem set to release in February. and soon after, Silent Hill Townfall.

relying instead on jumpscares” – hard pass. This dev is terrible with horror games. They rely on lame tropes and stupid jump scares to make things ‘spooky’. They are the watered down ‘killer pool’ version of Blumhouse.

Trying to be PT just means this will be a lamer version of Layers of Fear. PT had actual talent working on it, who relied on the atmosphere being scary, not just jump scares.
