It’s unthinkable to believe that it’s been almost 16 years since the original Shadow of the Colossus game came out for the PlayStation 2, and up to this very day it still remains as one of the most beloved titles in all of game history. With that said, it’s not far-fetched to learn that the game is still being datamined and studied to this very day, and the latest Shadow of the Colossus assets and concept art showcase more of the cut content and early storyboards for Team Ico’s opus. Shadow of the Colossus assets:

There are more images to be found here, but what’s most striking is the one showcasing this apparent Spider colossus. If you’re not aware, Shadow of the Colossus was supposed to have as many as 24 fights with colossi; however, technical limitations at the time stripped it down to 16. While everyone should take these images with a grain of salt, it’s worth noting that this Spider colossus is perfectly plausible given the various cut content in the game.
