Ubisoft has opened the Skull and Bones closed beta signups, letting all potentially fearsome swashbucklers take their shot at a spot and try the game firsthand. The beta runs from the 25th to the 28th of August on PC (you need an Ubisoft Connect account) only, and English is the sole available language. In case you are one of the chosen few, you can check the times for the various continents right below, including a pre-loading option. The best thing about being selected to receive an invite is that each player is able to invite up to two friends to join them in the beta, so in practice you’re not getting one slot, but three.

Skull and Bones Closed Beta Pre-Load, Start, and End Times:

• Preload: 22nd August, 3am (PT) / 22nd August, 12pm (CEST) / 22nd August 8pm (AET)
• Start: August 24th, 7pm (PT) / August 25th, 4am (CEST) / August 25th, 12pm (AET)
• End: August 28th, 12am (PT) / August 28th, 9am (CEST) / August 28th, 5pm (AET)

During this beta, players will be able to play and experience main campaign contracts up until the Exterminate the Rat contract. Accepting various activities will take them up to the Buccaneer Infamy Tier. You have Side Contracts, Repeatable Contracts, Bounty Contracts, and the Merchant Convoy World Event, just a small showing of the many options you have when you start exploring everything within your grasp.
