A recent SNK news trailer featuring various titles from the Japanese game studio has revealed that Goenitz returns in King of Fighters XV as a free character update as well as rollback netcode announcements for a couple of other titles.

The video begins with already-known announcements of Kim Kaphwan and Sylvie Paula Paula as DLC characters. It also mentions the cross-platform update that’s set to go live this spring. New information is also showcased, however, with one of the main highlights being Goenitz, a returning King of Fighters character that’s set to arrive sometime in Summer 2023. Goenitz will come as a free update to players.
Aside from KOF 15, the SNK news trailer also revealed that two of the company’s games would be getting a rollback netcode update. Both Samurai Showdown and King of Fighters 13 are set to receive the netcode update in Spring and Summer 2023, respectively.
Finally, a new Fatal Fury/Garou game was announced in the trailer. There isn’t a whole lot of information to work with, but the reveal did come with some new art for the upcoming title.
With new characters, netcode updates, and a new game in development, SNK fans will have a lot to look forward to in the next few months and beyond.
