DICE and EA are building on the Battlefield 2042 marketing, as a standalone Battlefield short film titled “Exodus” has been announced, and will premiere this August 12 at 8AM PDT/11AM EDT/11PM HKT!
Players will be able to watch it on the official Battlefield YouTube channel, and according to EA, the short film will be “unpacking the world of Battlefield 2042.” Check out the teaser clip below!

EA also adds, “Witness the locations of Battlefield 2042 through the eyes of embedded journalist Kayvan Bechir starting tomorrow till August 12.”
While it doesn’t seem like we’ll get any new gameplay footage, there’s a chance that more gameplay info will be revealed — or at least some of the stuff we can expect to be in the game.
Outside of the short film, we’re waiting on official details from Battlefield 2042’s other new mode called Hazard Zone to be revealed, which we’re guessing will be soon, as gamescom is right around the corner.
