The Finals Teasing Something Heavenly for October 2
It looks like The Finals is going to…Heaven? That’s according to the latest teaser by Embark Studios, saying that they’ll be opening the pearly gates on October 2, 2025.
I hope you’ve been a good player, because it seems the alternative may be falling into a sea of molten lava.
The Finals Look to be Heading to Heaven
Mark your calendars for October 2, 2025, because something angelic is apparently happening in The Finals. As shared on the game’s social media, the pearly gates are soon going to open in The Finals. We don’t know exactly what that means, but a teaser accompanying the announcement on social media shows a tall, towering structure sinking into what appears to be Hell, with staircases on top leading into Heaven, literally.

We’re going to take a guess and assume this is a new mode (timed?) of sorts, likely somewhat of a Battle Royale where teams race against one another, battling it out in a sinking skyscraper, and trying to be the last remaining survivor, or first to reach “Heaven.” With Halloween being next month too, we wouldn’t be surprised if this is tied to being a seasonal event for it too.
Whatever it is, it has fans talking.
Of course, with the in-universe lore being that The Finals is a massive virtual game show, anything can happen. And it has, as the game features meteor showers, alien invasions, and a few other oddities that have made players shout “WTF!” I suppose Heaven (and possibly Hell) wouldn’t be all that strange, all things considered, but it’s still a pretty surprise.
Guess we’ll all find out when Embark reveals whatever this is on October 2, 2025. However, this won’t be the only thing we’ll be getting this month, at least from Embark Studios, as their other game, ARC Raiders, also launches (pre-orders now live) later in October with an open server slam playtest scheduled for October 17, 2025. It certainly is a busy month for the studio, and we cannot wait to see what they bring out next month.
