The rumors were true! Sony has revealed that Until Dawn PC and PS5 versions are arriving later this year. The game’s been rebuilt and remastered for modern systems and looks absolutely gorgeous, featuring the same lovable (and unlovable) cast of characters.

The game is being rebuilt entirely in Unreal Engine 5. It’ll feature upgrades to characters, environments, and VFX. Additionally, the game now features a third-person camera, allowing players to explore the game more thoroughly and catch all the new interactions and collectables with proper 3D movement.
The sound system has also undergone a significant overhaul. Composer Mark Korven has created a brand-new score for this updated experience to ensure that the horror really hits home. The game will apparently even feature new scenes that are meant to flesh out several side stories from the original game.
While there’s no specific release date for the remake yet, Until Dawn PC and PS5 will launch sometime in 2024. We’ll be sure to let our readers know as soon as we learn more.
