Xbox Series X|S System Update for December 11 Rolled Out
[summaraize]
Microsoft has rolled out the Xbox Series X|S system update for December 11, and this is a minor firmware patch that doesn’t bring in any new features.
If you want to be technical, this is called version 10.0.26100.2911, though we doubt anyone calls the new software by that number string.
New Xbox Series X|S System Update for December 11 Brings Stability
According to Microsoft, this patch’s lone changelog delivers “general stability and performance improvements,” and that’s about it.
Given the November system patch was a beefier one that introduced new personalization options, and even a ay to direct message voice channels on Discord, it’s understandable that today’s system update is less significant.
For reference, the new features introduced in the November patch are:
New personalization options
Personalize your gaming experience with custom images: create gamerpics from your achievement art or screenshots, or zoom and crop images when setting a home background on your Xbox console.
Direct message voice channels on Discord
Your direct message voice channels can now be joined right from your Xbox! Just open the guide, head to Parties & chats, select Discord, then choose Direct Voice Chats to find the list of direct message channels you are able to join.
Hopefully, we’ll get many more new features once 2025 rolls in.
