Ubisoft has announced an XDefiant closed beta with no NDA that will run from April 13 through April 23, along with an XDefiant Showcase on April 13 featuring an inside look at the game and a showmatch. Additionally, the PlayStation Store page for the game is up now.
Unlike the Insider Session, the XDefiant closed beta will be NDA-free, with players allowed to record and stream content from the beta as they wish. The beta will also include an alpha test of ranked play as well as exclusive rewards. The closed beta will begin on April 13 at 7am ET/10am PT, alongside a simultaneous XDefiant Showcase that will showcase a ranked showmatch and a deep dive of the game’s features and the closed beta’s content.
Players can gain access to the closed beta in one of two ways:
- Website
You can register in advance on our website over at playxdefiant.com.
- Twitch Drops
Starting April 13th, Twitch Streams including the XDefiant Showcase (www.twitch.tv/ubisoft) will grant game access drops. You can gain access by watching for 30 minutes with a partnered streamer.
The following content will be available in the closed beta:
- Factions
Libertad, Echelon, Phantoms, DedSec (locked until later in the Closed Beta), and the Cleaners
- Maps
Attica Heights, Arena, Dumbo, Echelon HQ (NEW!), Emporium, Liberty, Mayday, Meltdown, Midway, Nudleplex, Pueblito, Showtime, Times Square, Zoo
- Mode
Unranked Playlist – Escort, Zone Control, Domination, & Occupy. You can queue for which mode you prefer!
Additionally, the following rewards will be available through the closed beta:

- M870 “Cobalt” Weapon Skin
- Emoji “XD Style”
- Magnum “Black & Bling” Weapon Skin

The closed beta ends April 23 at 8am ET/11am PT, and progress acquired during it will be carried over to the full game. The XDefiant Showcase can be tuned into over at the official Ubisoft and Twitch channels when it goes live.
