XDefiant, the upcoming free-to-play arena shooter from Ubisoft, is running its first console playtest, and it will feature crossplay. The XDefiant console test will be held starting February 16 and will connect players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC devices.

Aside from the crossplay feature joining this Insider Session, a new map called Pueblito will also join the fray. Pueblito is a fishing village in the Caribbean nation of Yara. As Yara isn’t actually a real country, this could be a reference to the nation that serves as the location for Far Cry 6, another Ubisoft title.
Those who were able to join the Insider Session should note that the test itself is actually under NDA, and any visual leaks of the tests are strictly prohibited. There will also likely be bugs present during the test, as is the case with games still under development, so keep that in mind if you’re hopping in on February 16.

TEST TIMING:
This week test is planned for Thursday, February 16th. The test will not be limited to 3 hours as previous test were, but instead will cover multiple consecutive days.

Warm-Up Phase allows 15 minutes of getting your settings right in the Practice Zone before matches are available

KNOWN ISSUES:
Factions:
- Cleaners will not be available during this test as we investigate a bug with them
Graphics
- In Dual Monitor setup, mouse will move off primary monitor during respawns.
- Game freezes after changing graphics settings
- When dead, player menu UI overlaps with other player UI
Performance
- Possible FPS drops when panning or making wide mouse movements
Online
- Various issues with party grouping features.
Gameplay
- Desync between the shooting player and the dying player
- After dying while activating an ability, the ability activates itself upon respawn
- After dying mid-ability, the ability remains locked me out
- Weapons appear invisible on character and others.
- Spawning into the start of a match without a weapon in-hand visible
Controls
- When the “Flip Bumpers/Triggers” setting is enabled, it does not correctly flip the left bumper and trigger.
XDefiant has yet to have an official release date but will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
