Alan Wake 2 Minor Update 1.200.011 Released on All Platforms on October 21
Remedy Entertainment has released a new minor update for Alan Wake 2 on all platforms, and this fixes issues with HDR (high dynamic range) and more.
PS5 gamers will see this download as Alan Wake 2 update 1.200.11, and on Xbox Series X|S it appears as version 1.2.0.11, and on PC it’s 1.2.11. Expect a small download across the board.
For the list of fixes applied today, read on.
Alan Wake 2 HDR and FRS 4.1 Support Added on October 21
The fixes for today include:
– On PC, we updated FSR support to FRS 4.1.
– Fixed HDR toggle to show as intended with compatible displays.
Given the state of the game, we’re not expecting more patches to be released anytime soon.
In related news, Alan Wake 2’s co-director has been working on a secret game for over a year, and we’re hoping it’s Alan Wake 3. As for Remedy’s most recently released game, Control Resonant just received a major content patch at the start of the month, and another one is scheduled for release in November.
If you’ve yet to try that game, it continues Remedy’s string of hits, as we state in our review, “It’s not without its faults, addressable ones, mind you, but all in all, Control Resonant is yet another must-play recommendation for a Remedy-developed game, a pattern I hope to see continue with future releases.”
