Alan Wake 2 Receives Surprise Update 1.200.009 on Aug. 18 for Version 1.2.10
It’s been two years since Remedy Entertainment has released a game update for horror hit, Alan Wake 2, but that changes today. Console and PC players will see Alan Wake 2 version 1.2.10 available today.
PS5 gamers will see this download as Alan Wake 2 update 1.200.009, Xbox players as 1.2.0.10. This is a small download and was rolled out to add FSR 4, FSR Frame Generation on PC, and a few bug fixes affecting gameplay.

Improvements and additions
- [PC] Added support for FSR 4. FSR 4 is automatically enabled on supported GPUs when FSR Super Resolution is selected.
- [PC] Added support for FSR Frame Generation. The option is available in the graphics settings on supported GPUs.
- [PC] Opacity Micromaps and Shader Execution Reordering now use the Agility SDK, allowing support across multiple GPU vendors.
- Fixed lingering audio synchronization issues during cinematics on all platforms.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the Crossbow Cult Stash could block access to the Lighthouse in New Game Plus.
- Fixed a potential crash when using Quick Slots under specific circumstances.
- Other minor fixes and improvements
So far, there’s no news for Alan Wake 3 yet, but we do know it is in development. For now, Remedy fans can look forward to Control Resonant, which is set to hit consoles and PC on September 24. Read on for its game length and combat inspirations to know more about the title.
