Battlefield 6 Receives Third Patch of the Week With Update 1.000.036

DICE has rolled out Battlefield 6 update 1.000.036, and this is the third client-side download for the game this week, after the launch of Season 5. Expect this download to apply fixes rather than add any new content.

Today’s patch comes just after the studio issued an acknowledgment and apology for the shoddy cosmetics introduced in the new season’s Battle Pass.

With the launch of Season 5 of Battlefield 6 this week, DICE and the rest of the Battlefield Studios stable added new maps, weapons and more to the best-selling first-person shooter.

Read on for the latest message relayed by DICE when it comes to updates and known issues.

Battlefield 6 Known Issues Pile Up After Season 5 Patch

For now, the tudio hasn’t said just what exactly got changed with today’s update, but DICE did reveal a list of known issues they are working on.

• Progression and XP Earn Rates: Following the launch of Season 5, an unintended backend configuration issue throttled earn rates across core modes and weapon mastery progression. We have since reverted these settings on October 15, and have confirmed that earn rates have returned to normal.
• White Screen in Campaign: We have deployed a fix resolving an issue that prevented PlayStation 5 Pro players from progressing beyond the opening cutscene in the Battlefield 6 Campaign. You can now jump into the mission as intended.
• Drag and Revive: We are seeing reports where the revive prompt fails to appear or activate over downed squadmates in Battle Royale modes. Our team is actively investigating the root cause of this issue.
• Vehicle Health Regeneration: We are looking into reports that passive vehicle health regeneration is taking longer than the intended amount after disengaging from combat. Our team is reviewing this issue.
• Phantom Edition GOTY Skin: Players who own the Phantom Edition were intended to receive the new Legendary soldier skin from the Game of the Year (GOTY) Edition without purchasing an upgrade. We have rolled out an in-game inbox message that will automatically grant this skin directly to qualifying accounts.

DICE said they are “actively pushing forward on these fixes” as well as on the issues mentioned earlier this week. They added that this list ist not comprehensive, so there might be a bug or two that’s not listed.

With the launch of Season 5 for Battlefield 6, not only did players receive new maps, weapons and more, DICE has also snuck in some Easter eggs too! Given Season 5 has maps set in Vegas, DICE has placed this Easter egg on the Area 51 map, and as one might expect, it is tied to aliens.

Vegas Strip removed from Rush

Due to an issue with the first M-COM on Vegas Strip Rush, we have temporarily removed the map from the mode until we can resolve the underlying issue.

Underslung Mount Underbarrel disabled

We have temporarily disabled the Underslung Mount Underbarrel on the Mk24 Assault Rifle while we resolve an unintended interaction. We’ll provide an update once the attachment is re-enabled.

If we receive more info about what got fixed, we’ll update the article. Expect another patch to be released soon to deal with some of the know issues.
