As promised, Bethesda released a new Fallout 76 update on June 8 across all platforms, addressing issues from last week’s Infestations content drop.

While a minor patch, Fallout 76 update 2.26 does fix crashing issues, among other things.

For the complete patch notes, read on.

Fallout 76 Infestations Issues Resolved in Update 2.26

Fallout 76 Infestation Update

Here are the confirmed fixes in today’s patch:

  • Issues with the Survival Tent causing players to crash on PlayStation platforms.
    • Unequipping the Gazebo, Vault-Tec, or Houseboat skins can serve as a temporary workaround in the meantime.
  • Vault Boy remaining on screen after using the Sharpening Stone.
  • Addressing a crash that can happen when players are near the Gleaming Depths raid.
  • General stability improvements.

This patch doesn’t fix all issues, as some of the stuff the dev team hasn’t touched include:

  • Ghouls taking radiation damage in nuke zones
  • Not being able to fast travel while standing in water, eating, etc.
  • Not being able to fast travel when raining, standing close to some radioactive barrels
  • Zero percent damage increase from Polished, even with items at 200% durability (might be a visual bug)
  • Crashing issues when entering power armor
  • Gamma guns not being able to radiate players
  • Jetpack deselecting (it comes back after taking the armor off and on again)
  • Player weight bugged
  • Missing CAMP items
  • Bugged camps that say “outside of build areas” when trying to scrap items, which leads to a server disconnect
  • Pip Boy changing colors when the game crashes or after loading in
  • Dice roll emote now broken (always rolls a 6)

There are a lot more bugs than the ones mentioned above, but you get the gist.

On a more positive note, players should also note that Infestations challenges have also been temporarily disabled while the developers investigate reports about it. Chances are, we’ll receive another patch to enable this at some point.
