GTA San Andreas Update 1.007 Delivers Visual Enhancements
Rockstar has released GTA San Andreas update 1.007, which is something the other two games from The Trilogy – Definitive Edition also received today. This brings visual enhancements to the game, though don’t expect anything major.
Note that as far as we’re aware, this patch isn’t available yet for last-gen platforms, though we are expecting that to change soon.
GTA San Andreas Update 1.007 Adds New Visual Modes
Update: Rockstar has released the official patch notes, and confirmed the patch is only for current-gen consoles and PC.
[November 12, 2024] General – PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC
- Numerous fixes and improvements
- Added Classic Lighting mode which restores the look and feel of the sky in the original games
While Rockstar Games has not released any official patch notes just yet, based on our testing, we found a few notable changes made.
- Classic lighting
- Improved models
- Improved textures
It seems the entire Definitive Edition got the classic lighting mode option that was available for mobile two years ago. You can read about it in our breakdown to see what we mean. Apparently, this update brings the console and PC version up to par to the Netflix version of the trilogy. Yes, you read that right — the mobile version of a game is ahead of the console and PC versions.
We are on the lookout for more changes made, and if Rockstar releases the official notes, which we presume will happen later today, we’ll add the info in the article.
