Helldivers 2 Patch 1.002.005 Fixes Soft-Lock Issues and More

Arrowhead Game Studios has released the first patch for Helldivers 2 available for download now on PC and PS5. Players will see this as Helldivers 2 patch 1.002.005, and while this doesn’t bring any new content, it does fix a few (literal) game-breaking issues.

The Helldivers 2 update deployed this January 14 includes various technical fixes, and the official patch notes are available below.

Back in April, a rumor surfaced that Sony was in very early preliminary discussions to bring Arrowhead Game Studios' highly successful Helldivers 2 to Xbox.

• Crash Fixes and Soft-locks:
• Fixed a crash caused by Illuminate ships despawning
• Fixed some potential crashes when the player quits the game

Miscellaneous fixes

• Fixed an issue with jitter when aiming through scopes
• Fixed an issue with the STA-X3 W.A.S.P Launcher’s targeting not properly working when using one owned by another player
• Reduced disconnections in Illuminate missions
