Per Insomniac Games, here’s what got changed:

“The latest update for Marvel’s Wolverine (1.002.001) adds a new toggle for story-related Scent trails. Alongside previous updates, players now have more control over the visibility of Scents, Audio Cues, and Nightmare Roots based on community feedback.

This update also addresses community-reported bugs and crashes to improve overall game stability.

  • Adds the option to toggle story-related Scent trails using the Hint button (default on ‘R3’)
  • Addresses additional community-reported issues related to crashes and bugs”

Before today’s patch, a game update was issued that added QSSR to the title. Not familiar with it? Here’s Sony’s explanation:

As for QSSR, Sony has a new blog about it explaining the feature. But for a quick rundown, read on.

Per Sony: Today, we’re excited to announce Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR): a new performance tier of AI upscaling. Born from Project Amethyst, our AI graphics collaboration with AMD, this quick new evolution of PSSR is built on two key innovations:

  • A streamlined neural network architecture
  • A hand-tuned implementation that maximizes performance on PS5

With these, we are bringing the benefits of AI-guided upscaling to PS5. While PSSR remains the gold standard on PS5 Pro, QSSR provides some notable improvements to both image detail and image stability on PS5.

In related news, some PS4/PS5 games are free on the PlayStation Store for some reason. Go get ’em before Sony plugs this mistake out.
