Resident Evil Village New Update 1.239 Released
Capcom has silently pushed out Resident Evil Village update 1.239 (complete version 1.239.000) on current-gen consoles today.
While we can confirm that the patch isn’t available for the last-gen (PS4, Xbox One) version of the game, it’s unknown whether this same update was released on PC. For those wondering, the patch that added PS5 Pro support was confirmed to have been released last month, so we know it’s not for that.
Remember: this is a minor patch, so don’t expect much from it outside of technical fixes.
Resident Evil Village Mysteriously Receives New Update on March 30, 2026
So far, Capcom hasn’t said anything about today’s patch, which isn’t surprising since the developers are usually late when relaying the game’s changelog.
There is a chance that this patch was pushed out to remove the mention of Resident Evil Requiem as an ad in the game.
For those on PC, there is a chance this patch breaks mods for the game, though that should be sorted out soon enough by mod makers. If Capcom releases a changelog, we’ll update the article and add the info.
In other Resident Evil news, Resident Evil Requiem was just updated last week, which added Photo Mode and more. There’s also the mini games update headed for the game sometime in May too.
