Resident Evil Village Update 1.231 Brings Back PS5 Pro Support
While Capcom released a minor update for Resident Evil Village earlier this month that added more voice and text display options, a new one has been released today, February 13, and this seems to be for consoles only.
We can confirm the PS5 version has received Resident Evil Village update 1.231 (complete version 1.231.000), and this is a minor update that aims to fix a specific issue.
Resident Evil Village PS5 Pro Support Finally Fixed via Patch 1.231
While Capcom, has not released any official patch notes, we know what this patch does, and it slots in the high frame rate mode back for PS5 Pro owners.
With the last patch released earlier this month, Capcom mysteriously removed the high frame rate mode that was available for PS5 Pro owners without any explanation. Funnily enough, Capcom added a menu option to purchase Resident Evil Requiem with the update and accidentally removed the PS5 Pro support for unlocked frame rates.
Thankfully, that’s now been resolved with today’s patch. It might be a minor thing, but it’st still a noteworthy bug.
We’re not expecting more patches for Resident Evil Village to be released given Requiem’s release is right around the corner. Speaking of which, a new trailer for the game was released via yesterday’s State of Play, and we think it’s worth a watch since it confirms a few things.
Resident Evil Requiem is set to be released on February 27 on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The latest rumor about it claims Chris and Ada won’t make an appearance.
