It’s been a pretty busy week so far for Call of Duty, as Infinity Ward launched Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s free-to-play (F2P), standalone battle royale mode, Call of Duty: Warzone yesterday. It seems players are still excited for the genre, as the Call of Duty Warzone player count has already surpassed six million in just 24 hours of being out!
This was announced by the official Call of Duty Twitter account recently:
What a day! 24 hours in and over 6 million of you have dropped into #Warzone.
Thank you – we’re just getting started.#FreeCallofDuty pic.twitter.com/GpDKJw5QD4

This isn’t really all that surprising given this is Call of Duty after all, and it’s free. Still, this is quite an accomplishment. Congrats, Activision and Infinity Ward!
We’re still putting the game to its paces and will have a review up once we can. In the meantime, go check out some of the Call of Duty: Warzone stuff we ran in the links below.
