Fallout 76 Down on July 21 for New Title Update Roll Out
Those having issues connecting to Fallout 76, it’s not just you, as Bethesda has taken the game’s servers down today, July 21, and this is in order to release a title update across all platforms.
Expect this downtime to last for a few hours, and it will affect all facets of the game. Players will be unable to utilize their camps or character in any way for the duration of the downtime.
Expect this patch to expand the Infestations update that was released last month.

Fallout 76 Servers Are Down on July 21
Per Bethesda, the downtime starts at 10 am ET/9 am CT/7 am PT/10 pm HKT. There’s no mention of how long it will take, but given past maintenance outages, expect this to last for at least 3-4 hours. There are instances where the downtime lasted longer, but we’re not expecting that to happen for today.
This should be a mid-season update, and we’re expecting it to fix a few known bugs. Some of the stuff we’re hoping gets sorted out includes:
- Radiation damage for ghouls resulting in not being able to fast travel bug
- Critical hits not registering properly (PlayStation)
- Enemies such as Bigfoot disappearing mid-fight
- Bigfoot falling through the map
- Special Ops challenge that are bugged
- Frame rate issues that cause stuttering
There are a lot more issues outside of the stuff we listed, and we’re hoping Bethesda goes through them in this title update.
