Battlefield 6 Hotfix Released on October 22 as Update 1.000.037

DICE has a new patch out for Battlefield 6, and before anyone gets excited, this is a minor patch aimed at resolving technical issues.  Console gamers will see this as Battlefield 6 update 1.000.037, and this should be a small download across all platforms/

Players can expect a better experience on the two new maps, Area 51 and Vegas Strip after today’s patch has been applied.

Read on for the official changelog and the known issues that persist.

BF6 New Hotfix for October 22 Improves Two New Season 5 Maps

Per DICE, today’s patch does the following: “We just deployed a client hotfix to improve stability on the Vegas Strip and Area 51 maps. You will need to download the update before being able to play again. Thank you.”

Check out the list below for some of the confirmed known issues affecting the game:

1. Drag and Revive Bug

Status: Under Investigation

In Battle Royale modes, the revive prompt may fail to appear or activate when attempting to revive downed squadmates.

2. Vehicle Health Regeneration

Status: Under Investigation

Vehicles may take longer than intended to regenerate health after disengaging from combat.

3. Mk24 Underbarrel Attachment

Status: Temporarily Disabled

The Underslung Mount underbarrel attachment has been temporarily disabled due to an unintended interaction.

4. Airstrikes in Rapid Royale

Status: Temporarily Disabled

Airstrikes have been temporarily disabled because they were not functioning properly.

5. Vegas Strip Removed from Rush

Status: Temporarily Removed

The Vegas Strip map has been temporarily removed from Rush due to an issue involving the first M-COM objective.

No timeframe has been given by DICE, but expect these to be resolved in upcoming patches.

So far, Season 5 has been a mixed bag, as while the new content are good additions, the use of AI in some of Season 5’s cosmetics is a bit worrying. DICE has admitted that some of the operator skins are not up to snuff, though we don’t know whether that will change things or not in the upcoming seasons.

In other news, DICE is said to be teaming up with Respawn to develop Star Wars Battlefront 3!
