With Destiny 2 coming to PC, it’s understandable that some people might want to buy the game on Steam given the digital store platform’s popularity. While Activision announced that Destiny 2 will only be available on its own Battle.net storefront, Destiny 1’s “Silver” currency popped up on Steam recently that got some people to snatch it up and believe Destiny 2 is Steam-bound.
Sorry, Destiny 2 fans! Destiny 1 Silver being available on Steam was just an error and won’t be actually be happening even. This was confirmed by Destiny 2 Community Manager David “DeeJ” Dague over on Twitter.
Destiny transactions on Steam were made available in error. All purchases will be refunded manually by Valve. Sorry for the confusion!

And just to drive the point harder, DeeJ tweeted that Destiny 2 will only appear on Battle.net and nowhere else for PC gamers.
We’re with Blizzard. No plans to release Destiny 2 on PC anywhere else. Pass it on.
